Breast Augmentation with Implants
Breast augmentation is one of the most requested aesthetic procedures. The goal is not maximum volume but a harmonious result with the chest, shoulders and hips. The consultation addresses both motivations and morphology: breast base width, skin quality, fold position and natural projection.
Choices to Discuss
- Implant volume, shape (round or anatomical) and profile (moderate, projected, ultra-projected).
- Incision route: inframammary (most common), periareolar or axillary.
- Implant plane: prepectoral, dual-plane or retropectoral.
- Implant brand and type, durability and manufacturer warranty.
Surgery takes approximately 1.5 hours under general anaesthesia, with an overnight stay. Light activity can be resumed within 7 days; gentle sports after 4 to 6 weeks.
In-consultation sizing — sometimes complemented by Crisalix 3D simulation — allows the patient to visualise the result concretely before surgery.
